10cc is the debut album by British rock band 10cc. It was recorded at Strawberry Studios in Stockport, which was part-owned by guitarist and engineer Eric Stewart, and released on Jonathan King's UK Records label. The album reached in the UK. Three of its four UK singles reached the Top 10 in the charts, including 1 hit Rubber Bullets. The fifth single Headline Hustler was released only in the American market to promote a tour in the USA. 10cc are an English rock band formed in Stockport in 1972. They initially consisted of four musicians Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme who had written and recorded together since 1968. The group featured two songwriting teams. Stewart and Gouldman were predominantly pop songwriters, who created most of the band's accessible songs. By contrast, Godley and Creme were the predominantly experimental half of 10cc, featuring art school and cinematically-inspired writing. Sheet Music is the second album by the English rock band 10cc. It was released in 1974 on UK records No: UKAL 1007, and yielded the hit singles The Wall Street Shuffle and Silly Love. The album reached No. 9 in the UK and No. 81 in the United States. The album was produced by 10cc, engineered and mixed by Eric Stewart. It is notable to include all the writing duos between Stewart, Gouldman, Godley and Creme which the band utilized to experiment and explore new creativity while making the album. Displaying a command of pop styles and satire, 10cc showed that they are a force to be reckoned with on their first album. Hooks abound, harmonies shine, and instrumentation is dazzling without being overdone. Though charges of self-consciously clever could be leveled at the group, their command of witty, Anglo-styled pop is so impressive that even those criticisms must be weighed against the mastery of styles.
